Have you ever seen the show Unsellable Houses with twins Lyndsay and Leslie of Lamb + Co Realty?
Do you love reality renovation shows?
My daughter and I got the chance to see this renovation in person during filming and loved everything they did to make this house sellable. Watch for yourself right here. (Scroll for some pics of us)
BACKGROUND
The twins help couple Jenna and Garrett in selling their 1960's home in Shoreline, WA which had been on the market for 30 days with low traction and no worthy offers. Unsellable Houses is about how Lyndsay and Leslie will put in their own money to get the house in shape for quick selling. In this case, the couple had already purchased another home and were paying two mortgages. And if you were in real estate in 2023, you know it was a tough market. So... the transformation began.
My daughter and I drove around the neighborhood before filming and found that the home was located near shopping areas where we got coffee. The home itself was located on an elevated quiet cul-de-sac with mature trees and plants making it feel inviting on what was a cold day in the fall.
RENOVATION
Upon entering the home we felt relaxed as the home was light and bright with special finishes and cozy touches like a handmade hat rack. Fancy tile and modern paint colors like Sherwin-Williams Snowbound were used throughout the house.
Everything was designed and decorated with an 'Organic Modern' theme which felt warm and inviting.
FILMING
This was our first time being on a television show and we were a little nervous but super excited to be part of it all. My husband and I were already fans of the show and the twins are from the same city we were living in at the time.
There is a lot that goes into a production and it all takes longer than you think as a viewer. We arrived and got mic'd up in the garage where a host of team members and crew were working. When it was time to start filming, they asked us to go to the front door where we would be greeted.

It was actually a lot of fun and the nerves dissipated as we started touring and talking. Even the cameras started to blend into the background.
It's a great show if you love homes, flips and renovations. It's in its 6th season and watched all over the world. Watch it here.
